Ambassador of Pakistan Lieutenant General (retd) Bilal Akbar has expressed the view that "the Chinese vaccine Sinofam is likely to be approved in Saudi Arabia after the Hajj while the resumption of PIA flights is also expected this month."
The Ambassador of Pakistan on Thursday held a Facebook live session with the community at the embassy in Riyadh in which he briefed about the performance of the embassy and also answered questions."The Chinese have been trying for the last two months to get the vaccine approved and are in touch with the Saudi authorities," the ambassador said.
In the first phase, two teams of Saudi officials went to Beijing to inspect the manufacturing facilities of Sinofam and Sinowek. Saudi teams will now review the manufacturing and supply of Chinese vaccines in the Gulf."Saudi officials, in cooperation with the Chinese embassy in Saudi Arabia, are going to inspect the manufacturing facilities of Sinofam and Sinowek in Manama and Sharjah this week," he said.
